Last Friday evening, Miss McWilliams led us on nature walk up and back along the Crawfish river. We stopped at a grassy open place under some large spreading trees called “The Grove.” The place had been prepared for us, and we sat around a campfire and sang songs as the Sabbath began. Three students shared heartfelt testimonies, recalling God’s love and care as He led them to Himself. The light had faded into darkness by the time we closed with prayer. While the fire lasted, we roasted marshmallows and enjoyed s’mores before walking back to the dorms. What a beautiful way to begin the Sabbath! As one student said, “This is just what I needed.”
