We have been blessed to have Lisa Isensee speak for our most recent Weekend of Spiritual Emphasis. On Friday evening and Sabbath morning, she shared stories of how God is moving in people’s lives around the world through ASAP Ministries (Advocates for Southeast Asians and the Persecuted). On Sabbath afternoon, she helped students imagine what it would be like to be a refugee through a simulation.

She also shared about the new Katelay School in Myanmar serving displaced children. It is a small mission school meeting in a bamboo building with two teachers and 20 students in grades K-3. Wisconsin Academy has partnered with ASAP Ministries to support this school – paying the teachers’ salaries and paying for benches, and whiteboard, and textbooks.
