While the weather is still good, we like to spend Sabbath afternoons outdoors, enjoying God’s magnificent creation. One of our favorite places to go is the MacKenzie Center, about thirty minutes east of here. And so last Sabbath, after a delicious lunch, we loaded up into the bus once again, ready to hit the trails.
Our afternoon began with a visit to the wildlife exhibit, a small zoo featuring animals native to Wisconsin, featuring wolves, deer, a bald eagle, a great-horned owl, a lynx, foxes, turtles, bison, and more. After the wildlife exhibit, we hiked through restored prairies and autumn-colored forests. The 285-acre property is beautiful this time of year.
Too soon we were back at the bus, headed home for supper. We are so thankful that God has given us such a lovely part of the world in which to live.
Enjoy the pictures!
