Juniors Get a Taste of Biblical Feasts

On Friday, students in Junior Bible experienced enjoyed unleavened bread, bitter herbs, grape juice, and a variety of 1st century Jewish foods in a rough simulation of Passover, as Jesus and His disciples might have experienced it (minus the roasted lamb).

Students in Junior Bible have been learning about the Sanctuary services and we are now discussing the types found in the Biblical feasts. Although Seventh-day Adventists do not observe the feasts, there is much we can learn about God’s plan of salvation from the instructions for the feasts in the Bible – particularly the autumn feasts.

“The subject of the sanctuary and the investigative judgment should be clearly understood by the people of God. All need a knowledge for themselves of the position and work of their great High Priest. Otherwise it will be impossible for them to exercise the faith which is essential at this time or to occupy the position which God designs them to fill.” GC 488
