Last week, the students in Miss Heidi Rasmussen’s Home Ec class dug up potatoes. Last spring, Mrs. Joella Show planted potatoes in a series of raised beds behind the greenhouses. Now it was time to get hands dirty and bring in the harvest. For some it was the first time digging potatoes. Eating mashed potatoes that evening, knowing they came from the ground that afternoon, was especially satisfying.
