Last week, during Senior Dedication, seven seniors preached short sermonettes for church. Each gave insights into the meaning of the class text: Romans 12:2: “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” These messages were the highlight of a great Senior Dedication weekend planned by the seniors and their sponsors: Bruce Rasmussen, Rosalie Rasmussen, and Kelly Taitano.
The weekend began with a beautiful Friday night vespers service featuring men’s dean Enrique Serna’s talk entitled: “Fight the Power.” Senior parent Rodney Schwark gave a great Sabbath School about God’s grace and the parable of workers in the vineyard. Pastor Jonathan Fetrick inspired us during Hallowed Moments on Sabbath evening. After sundown, the seniors presented a delicious Italian meal fundraiser with live music in the cafeteria.
