This year, the Senior Class of 2022 spent much of their class trip in sunny Florida. On the way down, they stayed at Oakwood University in Huntsville, Alabama. The university tour included visit to the biology department where the seniors were able to view cadavers used for educational purposes. Most of the trip was spent at Camp Kulaqua, near High Springs, Florida, where the seniors helped out with a variety of camp cleaning and improvement projects as well as visiting the zoo and canoeing down a river. During the canoe trip, they got out and swam. Later on down the river, they noticed an small alligator! Excursions included a trip to St. Augustine, the oldest city in the United States, and a visit to the beach. For several, it was their first time seeing the ocean. On the trip back, the seniors enjoyed a stay at Southern Adventist University near Chattanooga, Tennessee, and a hike through Mammoth Cave near Brownsville, Kentucky. The trip was organized by class sponsors Rosalie Rasmussen, Bruce Rasmussen, and Kelly Taitano as well as bus drivers Doug Show and Dan Show. Thanks also to Kelly Taitano for the pictures!
