Last week, the entire student body “attended” classes from home via Microsoft Teams. While most classrooms were already equipped with cameras and the rest to connect with distance students, directing lessons exclusively to the cameras without students in the room was an adjustment. That didn’t stop Mr. Cantrell from discussing the mechanics of elections with the seniors, or Mrs. Lawrence from leading her class through the nuances of early American literature. We are so thankful to our students and their families who so graciously adapted to the changes. It was fun to see students “attending” classes while enjoying the weather on their front porch or with a pet in their lap. Fortunately, most students were able to return this week, and we are happy to have students in our classrooms once more.
