Prayer Continues for Philippines Mission Project

Almost every evening since the beginning of January, the students who plan to serve in the Philippines this Spring Break have been praying. They gather each evening in Mr. Dunder’s office. After sharing questions and expectations, Mr. Dunder shares an appropriate devotional thought from the Spirit of Prophecy. The students then all share prayer requests and agree to prayer for those requests. A majority of the time is spent in small prayer groups of two or three as we lift up our needs and our joys before God’s throne. Recently, we’ve been praying especially for funding for the church structure we plan to build. A large amount of money is still needed, but we press forward in faith, trusting God to provide in His time. Mr. Dunder closes the prayer time and we all return to work and study. I have been deeply blessed by this time of prayer and expect to see God doing amazing things through these students as they go out in His name.

We invite you to join us in prayer each evening about 7:30 wherever you are. Pray for the people who are studying the Bible now, that they will be prepared to make decisions for Jesus during the evangelistic series while we are there. Pray for us that God will prepare us completely to serve Him, not only during the project, but that He will use it to prepare us beyond this project for whatever else He has in store. Pray also that funds will arrive to enable us to build a church for the believers in the village of Bonongan who desperately need a place to worship with thier expanding congregation.
