Help Build a Church in Bonongan!

Wish you could go with us to the Philippines? You can help and be a real part of builing a church in the village of Bonongan through your donations on our GoFundMe page here.

We are in the last stages of fundraising and need your help to secure the funding for  church construction. Stepping out in faith we have sent the first payment for the church building so the foundation may be dug and bricks made. We are trusting in God to impress hearts to give generously and provide the needed funds to finish the work.

All funds raised here will go directly to the church building project and not to other expenses. Those going on the project are responsible to raise their own airfare and accommodation expenses.

Preparation Continues for Philippines Mission Project

Spring Break is on the horizon, and with it, the 2017 mission project to the Philippines.

In the community of Bonongan, two Bible workers (pictured above) are already holding Bible studies and helping the local congregation be ready for the evangelistic meetings during our time there. The ground has been cleared and leveled for the church structure we will be building (see first picture below). There is great expectation as the pastor and local believers pray for the Holy Spirit to work in a special way this coming March.

Preparations are underway here in Wisconsin as well. Air tickets have been purchased, passports are being worked out, and many other behind-the-scenes details are being taken care of that few will ever see. Students and staff continue in hope and excitement, praying every day that God will pour out his Spirit in our lives and in the lives of the people in Bonongan.

During our two weeks in the community of Bonongan on the island of Culion, we will build a church, conduct a medical clinic, hold evangelistic meetings, and work with the children.

Our largest financial need is for funds to construct the church. If you would like to support this project financially, there are several ways to help:

1. ONLINE: Give through the “Philippines Mission Project” GoFundMe account here. Share the link on Facebook with your friends and family.

2. MAIL: Please make checks payable to Wisconsin Academy, and write International Mission Project (IMP) on the memo line. Mail your tax-deductible gift to:

The official fundraising letter is attached here. Feel free to email or make copies and distribute it as needed.

Video Editing Class Shares “The Greatest Want of the World”

The students of Mr. Tyler Cantrell’s video editing class are happy to share one of their projects – “The Greatest Want of the World.”  It can be viewed on Facebook here.

The text of the video is taken from page 57 of the book Education by Ellen G. White:

“The greatest want of the world is the want of men—men who will not be bought or sold, men who in their inmost souls are true and honest, men who do not fear to call sin by its right name, men whose conscience is as true to duty as the needle to the pole, men who will stand for the right though the heavens fall.

“But such a character is not the result of accident; it is not due to special favors or endowments of Providence. A noble character is the result of self-discipline, of the subjection of the lower to the higher nature—the surrender of self for the service of love to God and man.”

Thank you, video editing class, for sharing with us!
